Kimberly Clark, DVM

Dr. Kimberly Clark is the daughter of Dr. Ross Clark, veterinarian and founder of Woodland Animal Hospitals in Tulsa. Dr. Clark grew up competitively showing dogs with her mom all over the country before working at Woodland West as a receptionist in high school. She graduated from St. George’s University College of Veterinary Medicine and then returned home to work as a veterinarian for her favorite animal hospital, Alta Vista Animal Hospital.

Her special interests include reproduction, soft tissue surgery, and feline medicine. Dr. Clark is certified as a Cat-Friendly Veterinarian by the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She also spends additional time each year to maintain her Fear Free Certification, a program dedicated to the gentle handling of dogs and cats while in the veterinary hospital.

In her spare time, Dr. Clark enjoys home remodeling projects and hanging out with her four dogs: Josie, Tequila, McKinnley, and Shelby. She also has two cherished cats: Alex and Anders, whom she bottle-fed as orphaned kittens, inspiring her love for felines.

Keith Bailey, DVM

Dr. Bailey began “helping” in his father’s veterinary hospital in 1965 at the age of 8, with such diverse experience as large and small animal medicine (including working on an African lion with Ringling Brother’s Barnum and Bailey Circus). After graduation in 1984 from OSUCVM

Dr. Bailey worked in mixed animal practice, both in Mannford, Oklahoma, and in the Appalachian mountains as the only veterinarian in Letcher County, KY. He later purchased his father’s clinic in West Tulsa in 1990 and moved the practice to 71st, near the Arkansas River, in 2004. During the next twenty years, he and his wife, Melissa, ran a solo clinic, while also working as a consultant for two laser firms, both in surgical and therapeutic lasers. He became one of the first VSLS (Veterinary Surgical Laser Society) certified Laser Fellows. Afterward, he joined the AVAH team, and brought along with him, many of his friends and patients whom he served over the last few decades of his career in West Tulsa. Both his son, Dr. David Bailey, assistant professor, OSUCVM, and daughter-in-law, Dr. Amanda Bailey, professor, anatomy and biology TCC, are veterinarians in the academic field.

Professional interests include advances in diagnostics, and both surgical and therapeutic lasers, as well as, alternative medicine and research. Client communications and education are very high on the list, as explaining the what, why, and how, of each case is paramount to compliance.

Outside interests revolve around fishing, home brewing, shooting and reloading, woodworking (which includes building musical instruments), cooking, fitness, yard work, and home maintenance. And, oh yes, creative writing and learning.
